Each individual’s care is person centred and specific to his / her needs. Peterborough Care is able to meet the needs of older people requiring very minimal support to people with more advanced nursing needs. We are also able to offer care to people with various forms of dementia.
Most of the people using our service reside on a permanent basis, however we are able to provide short term / respite care.
Residential care means supporting people with their daily activities. This can include either minimal or, a lot of assistance with washing, dressing, mobilising, walking and eating. However, we encourage people using our service to remain as independent as possible.
The long term intervention of a nurse is not required in residential care and assistance is provided by care staff who have been adequately trained to support people with such needs

Dementia is a term that covers a set of symptoms associated with memory loss and difficulties in thinking, making decisions and communicating.
The most common forms of dementia are Alzheimer’s, vascular, fronto-temporal and Lewy bodies dementia. Our staff are specifically trained to meet the needs of people with dementia
